MEET OUR FOUNDER

Lana, who grew up in a military family and experienced constant relocation, is aware of the importance of fostering inclusive communities, especially in settings with a lack of diversity. At an early age, she learned the value of creating community support systems and how conversations help build connections as she traveled around the globe.

Lana has worked with prestigious organizations like the National Urban League for Young Professionals, the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College, and college institutions such as San Diego State University and California State University, Northridge, as a seasoned speaker and consultant for the past 20 years.

Lana is the author of numerous books and has previously hosted the syndicated radio show “Don’t Box Me” before founding “Conversations in Color.” She has been a contributor to “The Good Men Project” publication and featured on various media outlets. For her work in the community, Lana has received numerous recognitions and commendations from various city and state leaders.
